Leading Our Team

Paul Fennelly leads our team. He has an outstanding track record in delivering successful outcomes for clients. As a leading corporate strategist, he draws upon his unique senior executive experience and networks within financial markets, industry, and government.

Paul has comprehensive experience managing the political, regulatory and stakeholder issues associated with major investment projects and has been directly involved in numerous large and complex transactions. 

Having represented national businesses and industry associations and serving as the CEO of government agencies. His knowledge of government policy and legislative processes is comprehensive. He is accomplished in shaping the political, governmental, and bureaucratic processes.

 

More recently, Paul was Group Head of Government and Corporate Affairs for Adani Australia, where he successfully completed federal and state government approvals and executed the political and external affairs strategy to deliver the $2.5 billion Carmichael Mine & Rail Project, described as the nation's most complex government and corporate affairs assignment.

  • Group Head Government and Corporate Affairs, Adani Australia.

  • Chief Operating Officer of APPEA (now known as Australian Energy Producers), the industry lobby representing Australia's prominent and globally significant oil and gas industry.

  • The Director-General of the Queensland Department of State Development, Trade, and Innovation which is responsible for driving Queensland's economic development.

  • Coordinator-General of Queensland, with extensive powers to coordinate the delivery of significant state infrastructure and investment projects.

  • Executive Director with the Australian Industry Group, one of the country's most influential industry associations representing over 60,000 businesses.

  • Director of Infrastructure Investments with Westpac Institutional Bank and Director of Global Infrastructure at Hastings Funds Management.
